Give & Get Involved

Thank you for your interest in Confluence. There are many ways to get involved in our programs, to learn along with the interns, and to give of your gifts and talents.

Contact Confluence Program Director, Jed Dearing, at 614.327.4299 or to get involved.

We are immensely grateful for the support of Bishop Breidenthal through a grant from the Diocese of Southern Ohio Procter Fund, which provides funding for our start up year. Furthermore, St. John’s graciously provides the use of office space for the Program Director, the Hospitality House as the intern residence, and many hours given by talented parishioners.

We are blessed that our fund-raising for Confluence does not begin at zero, because the worksite placement fees that our Partner Organizations pay cover over 70% of our budget.

However, Confluence will still need to raise $20,000 per year in addition to the worksite placement fees to be a self sustaining program.

Funds raised for Confluence cover the following benefits for interns….

  • Health Insurance
  • Room & Board
  • Internet & Utilities
  • COTAPass or Gas Card
  • A Monthly Stipend
  • Ongoing support for the intern in both individual and group formats
  • Formation activities and resources

In addition to benefits for the interns, funds are used towards part time salary and benefits for the Program Director, property renovation and repair on the Hospitality House, and administrative expenses.

A financial gift of any size will make a difference. Please make checks out to St. John’s Intern Program and mail to 1003 W. Town St Columbus, OH 43222, or donate online.

If your congregation or organization would like to hear more about Confluence, Jed Dearing is glad to share the vision for the program at the office or during a Sunday morning service.
